LOVE IS: ALL OF THE LITTLE THINGS.....AND THAT IS BIG!

Love is all of the little things in life. Love is showing kindess to others. A wave "hello" or even a friendly smile when passing a stranger can mean so much and literally make their day. A listening ear to someone who needs to vent their frustration or having a shoulder to cry on when someone is hurting can mean more than a thousand words. Taking time out of your busy day to send someone a HANDWRITTEN note would really warm just about anyone's heart. Yes, love is all of the little things in life and that is actually pretty BIG when you think about it.

I Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I put together a few cute "little things" for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy the view and remember to take some time out today to spread a little love someone else's way.

FALL FUN AT THE FARMERS MARKET

The beginning of Fall means harvesting time is upon us. A great way to spend a beautiful, Fall morning is by getting out and supporting your local Farmers Market. You will most often find healthy and fresh, locally or organically grown produce at great prices. Many vendors also offer freshly canned/jarred items, fresh honey, nuts, soy candles, freshly cut flowers and so much more. So do yourself a favor and have a bit of Fall fun by visiting the Farmers Market in your area this weekend.

HELLO AGAIN!

Hello again to all of my blog friends and visitors. I've been away much longer than I had hoped due to major technical difficulties. I am so thrilled to be back and also to know that many of you took a moment to stop by for a visit and stroll through an older post or two. It is so much fun to reminisce.

So much has happened since I last made a post. I totally missed the Valentine's Day post that I wanted to share. I guess I will just have to save it for next year.

Also, if you are a friend or visitor to Hugs and Keepsakes, let's join our hearts together and send BIG HUGS out to the people of Japan by collectively keeping them in our prayers each day. We may be across the world from them and from the devastation of this major Earthquake but our prayers and God's love will reach them. Thanks

A HOLIDAY FOR HUGS

Just in case you didn't know, I thought that I would take a moment to inform you that a very important HOLIDAY is approaching. Did you know that January 21st is WORLD HUGS DAY? This Holiday started in America as National Hugs Day but has grown so much in popularity that the Holiday is now celebrated all over the world.

The HUGS HOLIDAY is only two days away from now so my suggestion is that you start practicing your best HUGS so that you will be really good at it by the 21st. Then after the 21st is over you can start practicing immediately for the next year. Now don't just HUG people that you think are wonderful. Make sure you try to find a real MEANIE to HUG. Make sure you yell out "HAPPY HUGS DAY" first. Either the HUG will soften the MEANIE'S heart and they won't be a MEANIE anymore or the MEANIE will think that you have lost your mind and steer clear of you in the future. Either way, you will have a great outcome. (Just kidding). Hopefully the MEANIE will change their ways.

I'm sending virtual HUGS out to all of my readers at HUGS AND KEEPSAKES so officially consider yourself hugged. Enjoy the Holiday!

IS THIS DOGGONE SCARY HALLOWEEN STUFF...OR WHAT?

Is this doggone scary Halloween stuff....or what? Well no, actually it isn't scary but it is doggone hilarious. Pun intended. I don't celebrate Halloween, however I just couldn't seem to resist posting this festive, parade of pet costumes. Try not to laugh too hard. Okay?
