VINTAGE APRON INSPIRATION

After making a retro kitchen post, I just can't seem to resist making a vintage apron post. They go together like peanut butter and jelly don't you think? Long gone are the days of Mothers in the kitchen wearing aprons to cook a meal and then changing into a nicer hostess apron to serve the meal. And of course, if one were to have a dinner party, a fancy cocktail apron would be in order.

In the fast paced world we live in today, many Mothers don't even cook for the family anymore......unless you can count opening the bag of burgers from Mc Donald's and placing the straws into the drink cups as FIXING the meal. BLAH!!!!!

So take a little trip back in time with me and enjoy viewing a few of the apron pictures that I've come across. I'm inspired to create an apron of my very own. Whenever I get around to making one, I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out. I'll also let you know the response I get from my family when I suddenly serve the evening meal wearing a super frilly, vintage inspired apron over my jeans and t-shirt. I'm sure this will be good for a few giggles. But hey, who doesn't enjoy a good laugh? Ahhhh, don't you just love vintage stuff? I sure do!

VINTAGE & RETRO KITCHEN RE-DO

When what is old becomes new again, it is considered to be a RETRO RE-DO. Many people are re-doing their kitchens with a retro flair. I can't say that I would personally do this myself but it sure is a lot of fun to look at.
