FOLKSY FELT MINIATURES

I came across the picture of a cover of a book by Salley Mavor about how to make felt miniatures. The little felt people looked so adorable to me, that even though I don't have the actual book or tutorial, I still wanted to attempt to make some. By looking at the picture, I knew that I didn't have all of the required items to make them exactly like the ones pictured so I just used what I had in my stash of craft supplies.

I made two little girls. One is named Ginger Snap and her little sister is named Sugar Cookie. These girls are house-sitting over at Huggalulu's home while Huggalulu is out of town visiting friends for the Holidays. They are having a grand time playing Christmas Carols on the piano, relaxing in the bedroom and taking turns riding Huggalulu's rocking horse. They even gave a big birthday party for the quadruplets that live next door to Huggalulu. I don't think Huggalulu will mind as long as they clean up their mess. What a great holiday vacation they are having! I hope you are having a great holiday vacation as well. Blessings & Hugs

THE UN-GARDEN PARTY

I'm a tad bit disappointed. I was supposed to attend a Garden Club Party of a dear friend but I'm feeling a bit under the weather so I'm not going. I do NOT have a green thumb. My cactus even died so I was really jazzed that I would be learning how to propagate plants and hopefully have my questions answered about all the things that I must be doing wrong.

My backyard is growing big mushrooms though and I'm not even trying to grow them, so does that count as growing plants? Somehow, I don't think so. Anyway, since Huggalulu (the polymer clay girl) can't catch any of my germs (if I have any), we will have to have our own garden party....with the mushrooms of course.

A TAD BIT MORE OF FALL

It took so long for the cooler weather to arrive where I live that I am just now FEELING the FALL. Can you believe that October is almost over? Thanksgiving will be here before you can blink. Anyway, I added a tad bit of Fall touches around the house. Huggalulu (the polymer clay girl) decided to jump in a few of the pictures and tend to her hostessing duties. She was nowhere to be found when all of the candy disappeared from the candy dish though. I wonder who ate it? HUGGALULU...where are you? LOL

BILLS, BILLS, BILLS

I'm taking a blog break today. I have paperwork to do, lessons to read and bills to pay. Most people pay bills online these days but I am such a vintage girl that I do it the old fashioned way and it takes forever. Maybe I can get Huggalulu the polymer clay girl to help me. LOL

INTRODUCING HUGGALULU (The Polymer Clay Girl)

In my previous post, I shared with you my newfound love of crafting with Polymer Clay. I would like to introduce to you a girl I made from Polymer Clay. Her name is Huggalulu and she will be a hostess on my blog page from time to time. Actually, you are listening to her theme music playing in the background.

She lives in a doll house that my Father designed for me many years ago. I think she may be a tad bit bored living there all alone. I figured it would do her some good to become the spokesmodel for my blog. I think she is precious and I hope you like her too.
